Libraries at EAS
The EAS currently houses three library collections: early learning, primary, and secondary. The collections can be searched separately through three library catalogues.
The collections are in English, Azerbaijani, and Russian. A wide variety of formats are supported, from graphic novels, audio and eBook to online subscription services. Students have access to iPads for searching the catalogue and using online tools.
The library collections support the children at each stage in their educational development. The collection is particularly rich in high interest ELT materials. As English language learners, children need to experience reading as a fun and ultimately achievable experience. Through guided instruction children are encouraged to find a comfortable reading level and genre that appeals to their taste.
The secondary school collection has been developed with the IB Diploma programme in mind. It has an impressive world literature collection, plus reference and non-fiction with a particular focus on regional history.
Library staff are available for instruction and reference questions from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
