Secondary Clubs

CLUB SELECTION

Club selection is voluntary. Our students can select any club they want. The choices are based on the “first come, first served” principle.

Club hours

Our clubs are held during the teaching of the main classes (1st club – 13:30 – 14:10, 2nd club – 14:15 – 14:55).

1. Afterschool activities:
These activities begin from 4:15 pm, after classes (Swimming, Volleyball, Basketball, Dance, etc.). These activities take into account the wishes of students, as well as create an opportunity for working parents to pick up their children at the appropriate time. After-school activities are free of charge.

2. Paid clubs
While free clubs help students identify their interests and desires, paid clubs provide more professional learning. At the music center, students are taught to play various instruments.

Students’ activities are demonstrated to parents and school staff at the report concert.

In sports-oriented activities, students have the opportunity to demonstrate the techniques they have learned in various competitions.

CLUBS:

1. Drama (Azerbaijani)
Performances are prepared appropriate for students’ age levels, stage culture, acting and public speaking skills are taught. Performances are demonstrated on the school stage.

2. Drama (Russian, English)
Performances in Russian and in English are prepared appropriate for students’ age levels. Alonside with the improvement of foreign languages, stage culture, acting and public speaking skills are taught. Performances are demonstrated on the school stage.

3. Song club
Songs are taught in English. Students’ listening and comprehensive skills are improved. Concerts are demonstrated on the school stage.

4. Dance
National Azerbaijani and foreign dances are taught. Students’ stage culture is formed. Dances of these students are demonsrated at events and reporting demonstrations.

5. Beauty and the beast
It is a drama club. It is musical opera performance prepared on the motives of “Beauty and the beast” fairy tale. It instills self-confidence, stage culture and public speaking in students. It is intended for the performances staged at the school and outside the school.

6. World culture
Students travel to world culture. Discussions and presentations are organized. Along with the language skills, the club also improves tolerance, comparison and other skills of the students.

7. Constructors
Different models are prepared in the club with wooden constructors and intricate legos. Students’ creative imagination is improved. The logic of building intricate constructions is instilled in students. The students’ handicrafts are displayed at the exhibition.

8. Fashion
Drawings with beads are made on different fabrics. Modern fashion-designers are trained, clothes are made and sewn. Embellishments and accessories are made. Aesthetic taste and creative thinking are formed in n students. The work of the club is demonstrated at the school exhibition.

9. Ebru 
It is famous Turkish art. It means a painting on water. The paintings reflecting the students’ age levels and interests are made. Taste, patience and creative imagination are formed. They are displayed at the school and out-of-school exhibitions.

10. Modern drawing
It is a modern art. Not only drawing, but also drawing on the wall, conveying ideas with objects and design, etc. are taught in this club. The club mainly develops creative logic in students. They are displayed at the school and out-of-school exhibitions.

11. Ceramics
Along with the pottery, ancient Azerbaijani art, ceramics and its types are taught in the club. Interest in our national values is instilled, taste and imagination are formed. The work of the club is demonstrated at the school exhibition.

12. Drawing
Drawings reflecting the students’ age levels and interests are drawn. Taste, patience and creative imagination are formed. They are displayed at the school and out-of-school exhibitions.

13. Carpet weaving
The secrets of carpet weaving – the ancient Azerbaijani art are taught in this club. Artistic and aesthetic taste is formed in students. Interest in our national values is instilled, taste and imagination are formed. The work of the club is demonstrated at the school exhibition.

14. Handcrafts (embroidery)
Ancient and modern Azerbaijani ornaments and patterns are embroidered on fabrics with the help of threads and beads. Paintings are painted on glass and plates. Beads are used to make accessuaries. Artistic and aesthetic taste is formed. The handcrafts are displayed at the school exhibition.

15. Swimming
Motor skills such as strength and endurance are developed. At the end of the semester the club organizes the individual championship for all the age groups using all the elements taught.

16. Basketball club
Agility is developed in students. At the end of the semester the club organizes the individual championship using all the elements taught.

17. Volleyball club
Coordination, accuracy and reaction are developed. At the end of the semester the club organizes the individual championship using all the elements taught.

18. Chess
Logics, thinking and consideration is developed. At the end of the semester and the year the club organizes the interclass competition.
