Service As Action Projects

SA PROJECTS
The Service as Action project is an integral part of the MYP programme. It encourages the students to take what they learn in class beyond the classroom walls. Through Service Learning Activities the students learn new skills and also contribute positively within their community.
Our students applied their knowledge in the real life through their SA; for example, they did projects to raise awareness on social issues, such as disability, autism, discrimination, exclusion, human rights, bullying, etc.
They also made cookies and organized a flea market to collect money for charity issues.

Grade 8 students' SA Project
s part of their SA project, a group of grade 8 students of the EAS donated some clothing and school supplies to the children in the “Azerbaijan children’s public association” reintegration center in Baku. Under the supervision of their homeroom advisor Ms. Laman Aghayeva, they collected the items, sorted them out, labeled and put them into the boxes, and delivered them to the shelter for the children’s use.
Through this activity, the students aimed to raise awareness of the negative effects of discrimination, specifically of child abuse.
At the reintegration center, children presented their paper crafts.
